About the project
Located on Bangor University’s Menai Bridge campus in the picturesque surroundings of Anglesey’s Menai Strait. Marine Centre Wales has created a leading science and research facility for the global marine sector.
The project supports collaboration by offering businesses and organisations access to the laboratory expertise of academics.
The design provides flexible, dynamic, and multi-functional learning and office spaces. A range of shared facilities have been accommodated, including geological analysis, constant temperature rooms for environmental analysis, core sample storage areas, internal ‘wet’ storage for exploration equipment, and CEFAS (Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science) licensed areas.
All laboratories are designed as ACDP Cat 2 labs which are carefully integrated and located within the building to ensure their security is preserved.
