About the project
The warehouse is designed to complement an adjacent Lucas retail store, enabling the functionality and resources of both buildings to be shared, including the external areas, parking and access.
The cladding finish is a simple yet harmonious reflection of the materiality, verticality and colour palette of the Stokers building, neighbouring residential developments and the surrounding context.
In collaboration with a Warehouse Management System provider to optimise inventory management, order fulfilment, and resource allocation within the warehouse was essential. This meant the design was flexible enough to accommodate potential changes in technology, operational needs, and future growth.
Pockets of landscape planting were incorporated both within and surrounding the site, including a large area of native planting species to promote biodiversity and encourage wildlife habitat formation, creating a wildlife corridor between the site and the road network.
